Many wait until after the first shed but some folks will try before then........
Just keep trying until they take a meal........
You may have some reluctant feeders.....
That's when you will ask, "why isn't my hatchling eating?"....
I hope all of yours will eat but there are some stubborn ones from time to time......

When the snake is hungry. Dont try and scare it, but if a snake is cruising around looking for something it is likely hungry.

I will sometimes offer food as they hatch...You'd be surprised (maybe) at how many feed within minutes of hatching,
but generally, just after they shed in a week.
