You do know that there is infringement of a First Amendment Right to the Constitution here.

All this overstepping by Government into my free right to practice the religion of my choosing without interference.

As a member of the Church of the Big Blue Dome, access and interface with Reptiles, Amphibians, and other non-human creatures is an intergral component to my theology.

All these Government rules and regulations amount to an encroachment and interference to my ability and right to worship as I so choose.

John,

Hey man, you might be on to something here...Herping as a religion with the rights therein...Ummmmh. Very interesting!

Later,
Jim.

PS: We don't even need a building...God's already seen fit to build us a church "under the blue dome" of the sky.

play with rattlesnakes and copperheads in my bare hands to prove myself worthy, lol! But I WOULD do it with "deadly" Burms, if that would help prove we are deserving of our religious freedoms!

Shoot if I can be a deacon I'll play with the Crotalids with my bare hands....

I am fine with this but then do we have to defend our religion in court and pay an attorney to represent us in court and pay other associated court costs, if we are challenged?. Can we register our religious preference with our state so If our city passes an exotic pet law, we are exempted on religious grounds from complying?
Are there any props we should get to display in our homes in case we are inspected by public officials? where can I get a blood-drenched statue of Wayne Pacelle being torn apart by crocodiles to display on my altar? Maybe T-Rex or some other company could produce a line of similar icons for our religious ceremonies.

If our religion objects to public health systems, we MAY be able to exempt ourselves from the new national health plan, too! (I think we would have had to be established long ago, but who knows?)

Lots of possibilities here...
