HI all - we will be starting to reearch and plan our Jackson's Breeding, now that we have moved to a space that allows us to pursue our herps with a passion! I will be purchasing a female adult Jackson's - perhaps a gravid one - in the next few months. She will be in a cage similar to Bart's with a automatic mister like he has. I will be converting a section of our new-to-us barn into a reptile nursery (mama Jax will be in the house with all of us) over the next few months. I will be raising my own cultures of flightless fruit flies in the nursery area. Any advice on purchasing a breeding female, housing arrangements/heating arrangements for neonates, and when I should purchase and start raising my flies relative to our female's "due date" is MUCH appreciated. I am an animal scientist with pretty extensive experience, but this will be a new one - Thank you all! BTW, re: ELiezer's post earlier about Bartleby's nails, he was just worrying about Bart's moving anxiety (his nail loss occured last year and has healed nicely, but we will definitly try the clotheline - he thrives in his caging arrangment otherwise.) B has bounced back, and is settling into our new house now - he ate this AM and is back to his exploring/patrolling his borders on his usual schedule. I love the guy - can't wait to raise up some bouncing baby Jax this year!
