Discovered late July 4th, my clutch of lil freedom fighter babies were hatching. As of now, 13 have hatched, two are pipping, and three left to hatch.

The two semi-collapsed eggs I posted about before have hatched healthy babies and the collapse seems to have had no affect.

There was one hatched with two kinks in the tail, and a late-laid egg (found in the cage the day after laying) produced a runt who is adorable. Both are active and keep right up with the others though.

All so far seem healthy and active.

I'll have some pics posted soon.

Congrats. Like I always say. If they arent fuzzy and dont smell, leave them alone.

read the smelly and fuzzy comment and was like "WTF smelly and fuzzy dragons?????"

then i realized you meant eggs lol

awesome to hear about the dragons, 23 of our 24 eggs have hatched from the first clutch, the one was a bad egg at 30 days. dumped in some pinheads and the all ran away lol hope they eat soon.

They dont eat for the first few days. Put some softer greens in there and when you see them nibbling on the greens start doing bugs. You also dont want to throw tons of crickets in. Few at a time as they will be freaked out by all the bugs.

Pinheads are too small for hatchling BD's. Even if they find them they'd have to eat many many to get a meal. 1/4" crickets are the best size to start with.

yeah, i've been doing about a dozen at a time, some went right for them, and some transformed from bearded dragons, to chickens lol. I've been offering finely diced fruits and veggies in the a.m. just like i do for the adults, then crickets in the late afternoon.

The pinheads are definitely too small lol, i was glad to try them first though, a lil bit of an ice breaker, once i put in a mix of 1/4 and 1/8 they were a bit more willing to go for them, and not as scared. I think i am gonna stick with 1/8 for the first week or so, they seem to do better with them, sure they eat more of them, but are easier for them to get to. so far, all 23 still look good

Congrats. Glad to hear your eggs hatched successfully. To bad about the one with kinks in his tail...though it shouldn't be an issue with it to live a long healthy life.
