gravid or not?

demonsnakes84 Jul 08, 2010 10:49 AM

I have a female normal i bred my yellowbelly male. I have about 4 visual lockups, last one being middle of june. It looks like she's been in shed for the last month or so but has not shed. This is my first breeding and just want everything to go smoothly. Can anybody offer me any insight on this topic? She doesnt look contorded (spelling?) like i have seen with gravid females on these forums. Im at work so sorry i dont have a picture. I check on her almost everyday to make sure everything is ok. Am i freaking out a little too much or does this sound normal?

It's tough w/out a pic! There's really nothing you can do at this point! Either she is or isn't, you just need to wait it out! Maybe just chill and have a "pudding pop"!

P.S. How's Rudy?

offer her food. if she takes it, she might just not be gravid. a few of my gals that i thought were simply taking their time have started pounding food weekly again. they'll not go this season.

I offered her a meal just a couple of weeks ago and she didn't take. She normaly pounds mediums like tic tacs, but since my male was doing his thing i offered a small and no go. She hasn't eaten since about May when she ate a medium rat. As of last night she is COMPLETE shed.

I appreciate the helpful responses.
