I am going to add crix to our food breeding now that we have a barn to do it in - they drive us crazy otherwise. I have a large rubbermaid tub - where should I drill holes/how many? Do you guys prefer a substrate like aspen or no substrate- just egg crates, etc.? I am planning on a laying dish of damp vermiculite and will be feeding fruit/veg for moisture along with high quality dog food. As winter is coming here in the northeast, what temps should I maintain to keep them breeding? (would a heating pad or UTH work?)
