Since the temps where I am are in triple digits and field trips are on hold for a few months in many places I thought it might be nice to see some pics of some cool places

Maybe you folks can post a few of yours

Of too many people here lately. Let me coin the term "deli cuppers". Now if you "locality nutz" and "deli cuppers" get along....the world as we know it will end. Just sayin....Hot or not, get out in the field and learn something!

yep...delicuppers....

faster , cheaper, no chiggers and no tickets,no raping the land and legal too.......

what's wrong with that ???

....you can also take a pic of me at the computer....everyday almost searching and looking....and you won't believe what stuff actually never shows up....and what stuff shows up really rarely and mostly too costly....$$$./....and the everyday same old stuff over and over again for a year and the price is still too high???...why would people post the same snake for a year???...really.....???....

....let's go to Hyde Co. Jeff.....should be a hoot...I bet we don't get stopped by an officer for at least 10 minutes....!!!...took my friendslike 3.....

......oh....and right now...we'd have to look for milks with a backhoe?...right....?.....100 degrees and no rain for over a week.....YEA grass is dying...!....LOL

Lol! I wonder about that too. I guess they can afford to wait for that one person to come along.

What about the idle threats like "If nobody buys her this week I'll just keep her and breed her myself and make money from the babies.."

And of course, the obligatory "An great addition to any collection.."

All good stuff. Entertaining.

yea...there are so many snakes I want...I see them in the ads....I even make offers for them at times...and get turned down politely....then the same people bust my baws at shows and offer me less than half of a great sticker price anyways...and say....but it's what you wanted...(on the sticker)...NO, I actually WANTED twice that but morons (like them) never pay the price (unless I blow smoke and make up names)...

I quit smoking and I have regular morphs not make believe names....LOL....I could name a bunch....

anyways.........

Milk ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Good point Jeff
Habitat for many is air conditioned now.
How many times have I read a post here with some guy telling us he "found" a great kingsnake last weekend. When I ask him where he found it he tells me the breeders name or the Reptile Expo.

Some dead snake rotting in the leaves

I have to imagine this is what more and more habitat is beginning to look like from a herp's perspective

Thanks, Doug. I took that under some of the limestone bluffs atop the Cumberland Plateau in Franklin County, TN. They're a beautiful and not all too uncommon sight near where I went to school!

Exactly. My original intention in the overexposure, actually, was to brighten the picture a little since it gets so dark under the canopy. The effect was so breathtaking and authentic though that it's become my standard waterfall shot technique. Your eyes and memory never capture individual droplets anyway:

It's that timeless, glorious cascade - like Dave Barker's ponytail - that you'll keep with you in your heart and mind forever.

Dave's hair and the waterfall....same color man....so cool....you got a good eye to notice the similarity....

too too funny....

....good luck...!....
