Stole my wife's new camera to finally get a close up of this robin. He chases everyone out of the whole back yard. My son wants to shoot him but I'm holding him back waiting for the babies to grow up so we can get our yard back.

Oh, forgot the snake related part. Hopefully this is a good omen that this is the year I'll finally hatch piebald ball pythons a decade into that project.
Not that I would necessarily object, but just to warn you that I believe shooting Robins is illegal. They are protected by the Federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918. Just an FYI. He sure is cool looking. Let us know if that is hereditary.

why would your son want to kill a bird that is trying to protect its nest?
It is not as if it could hurt him in any way. In fact, it is rather comical and brings new life to a static yard! If I had a son and he wanted to do that...then I would have FAILED instilling my beliefs in him....
Very cool bird though...
Not trying to be a JERK......but I am SATAN afterall!!
Cool pix!

It's a property rights issue. Looks like I need to hurry up and clear cut the yard before it's taken as a piebald robin preserve.
Seriously, I think my son is too citified to have really shot the bird. I'll just have to mow the lawn for him until the babies leave and badminton season can resume.
Just yesterday my dad got strafed by a hawk while hoeing his corn. Now that might have left a mark. The robin is smart enough to only strike when you look away (masks on the back of our heads and problem solved?) but the hawk was really sneaky dropping repeatedly directly out of the sun until some kingbirds chased him away.
You have to at least admire that bird for its tenacity!!!!
Kind of like our president when we first had the gulf leak....get out of here, its all under control. We don't need any help......we are using water proof bandaids...
Leave me alone, I'm trying to play golf....
Can't wait til I get him...

Wow, why would anyone want to kill a beautiful animal like that? Reminds me of people who want to kill snakes "because it's a snake". I'm not going to say anything negative about your son but I sure hope you don't let him shoot the poor animal.
