i'm finishing up a melamen cage for my corns. it's about 2' wide, 20" deep and 14" tall. it'll have a small vent in the side with two hides under the floor. it'll be in the basement which stays at about 65 degrees. what would be the best way to heat? i'm thinking a light bulb. i know a heat panel mounted overhead would be best, but pricey. also, as far as heat tape goes, i hear about people using them, but how would you in a wooden cage? i don't think you would put it in so the snake can directly touch it, would you put a thin piece of plexi on top of it?..........i've only ever used it in a rack with plastic containers.
