MY VERY FIRST BOA LITTER!!!

michaelburton Jul 10, 2010 06:35 AM

I'm so excited!! Britney, my DH Sharp Sunglow dropped her litter yesterday, 111 days after her POS. She was bred to my poss het Sharp Sunglow who proved out to be 100% het for Sharp, 1/3 of the litter ended up an albino or sunglow. She delivered 2 stillborns and 28 beautiful babies: 6 normals 50% het Sharp, 13 hypos 50% het Sharp, 3 or 4 Sharp albinos, and 5 maybe 6 poss dominant Sharp Sunglows. Some real screamers too! So far everyone is doing well, including mom. A big thanks to John from Salmon Boa, Brandon from Summit Reptiles, and Jeff from The Boaphile. These are the guys who I've bugged and pestered over the years and they have always been more than willing to help and answer questions. Enjoy the pics!! I must now get back to staring at the babies.

What's written above is purely my opinion. In fact, MOST of what you read on the internet is someone's opinion. Don't take it too seriously

Nice Michael! Both parents are stunning animals so these babies should be off the charts.

Those look awesome!! I'm looking to prove out the dads sister this coming year! Oh,and all the normals and Hypos in the litter will be 66% het Sharp not 50%. I figure you knew that but in all your happyness it may have slipped your mind!

michaelburton Jul 12, 2010 03:59 AM

Ya I had one of those oh crap moments after I posted it. I think 66% just sounds better too. Thanks guys for the comments. Its so much fun just watching the little buggers crawl around.
