What frogs do you have that you have so many extras of? Maybe, you'd like to send some to me
I did have an excess of 700 Fire Belly Toad babies one nice year when I was a kid. I took them to local pet stores and sold them there. I was glad I could, cause I didn't know where to get ff, spring tails, and pinheads then.
Oh, I don;t have any extras. I don't even have frogs yet. I was just wondering. They seem to be pretty prolific. I was just wondering. I think the pet store thing would be cool. I could make a little back on my investment and then upgrade or get more.

Dart frogs are very prolific, but about as equal as the rate that people kill them. If people stopped killing them, we would all be over run with frogs. Just think if ever D. auratus that has been bred since 1973 (I think that's the year) would be living today... There would be exponentially more D. auratus in the states than people. I'd like to see any woman (even some of the really fertile ones I see on the Springer show...) lay up to 22 eggs a week. Even if they all averaged at a tiny clutch, say 3, we'd have to plow the streets from baby D. auratus. In any event, even when I had a ton of babies I never sold to pet stores. You can almost always sell frogs online if the prices are right. I gave up selling D. azureus singly for a while, only 10 lots. There are more and more people getting into dart frogs, so the demand is there.
Best,
Justin
P.S. There are some pictures of the Costa Rica trip on the site. There are also as many errors with the script so far, so you can't see anything more than thumbnails of the pictures at this point. This is a 21 picture update. When we finish the new site (we're revamping it), the rest will be there. This is to satiate a few people for the time being... Brian F....

Justin,
You mentioned Auratus females laying up to 22 eggs a week? How common is that?? I have a female hawaiian auratus who has only laid for me once, so i was wondering if i was doing something wrong-- she laid about three weeks ago, and hasn't done anything since. I'd love to be having up to 22 eggs a week though. That'd be so awesome. Keep in mind that this female that laid for me only once-- was my first clutch, i've been patiently waiting, but when i read your message, it tipped the scale.
Thanks
Kasey Lawrence
p.s.-- I have 2 Hawaiian Auratus sub-adult females that i don't need and i would be willing to trade or sell, so if anyone is interested let me know!
