crossing hogg island and columbian boas

emilyape Jul 10, 2010 05:22 PM

i see the cross between the two gives the boa the appearance of the hogg island. speckles and all. does it also give it the size of the columbian? since the hogg boa is usually smaller.

Well most of the Colombian x Hogs are the bi-products of breeding a Hypo x Hog . Their really isn't too much difference in size of Colombians and Hogs , as there are with other CA types BCI's . My female Hog is right around 6ft. I've had HypoHog litters that were a variety of sizes . They won't all be larger or smaller . This goes with any crossing where size or looks can be more/less influenced by each individual parent.
