STRETCHx Jul 10, 2010 11:32 PM

Found this male almost 10 years ago and was never able to pair him up. This year I FINALLY found a female there and look forward to this new locality. I will post pics of the female soon.

There he is! That may be the widest white I've seen in any coastal. Now if he wouldnt be so shy and show his red head.....

That's an old pic and I'll take a new one with a better shot of his head. I'll also take a few of the new female.

Brad, to my count you have at least 3.5 fresh localities in your collection now. I know you like hunting, but its time you put your guests to work for you. Dont worry about producing too many finicky babies at once, you will recieve PLENTY of offers to help your projects along...

Wow Brad that is SWEET! I love the deep red on that guy and the wide white bands. Very clean. Nice snake. Glad you were able to pair him up!!

That isn't the snake you and Chris Jones caught along 168 is it?

Yeah that's the same one. That pic was taken along time ago. He colored up nicely though he has faded a bit the last few years afterall he's getting pretty old! He's not as old as the first one I ever found in Hyde back in '91 that I still have though! I found a female Currituck this year(finally!) so looking forward to working with them.

He colored up nicely

Yes he did, I don't remember him looking anywhere near so clean. The one my father-in-law killed in his yard (2 miles down the road) was damn near fuggly in comparison.

He's fading with age just like the rest of us! Lol! The female I found is average looking and I need to take some pics of her. She came from an area a little NE of the 168 spot. I'll post the crappy pic I took when I found her.

Neat snake! I hope its not gay.

from SE VA and NE NC have def been a real challenge to find. I've spent MANY hours in the field and feel that persistance pays off(well sometimes!). Finding temporalis from those areas consistantly seems almost impossible but I like a good challenge! Lol!

crappy pic leary be weary! I'll post a better pic soon.
