That import female is sooooo hot. Put a jungle or motley on her and call it good. With that tail I would say pastel dream motley from Ant and you would take 1st place.

Thanks Amie,
She really did me proud this year. I was kind of bummed that I did not find her a male this past season, but these "crosses" have so much color, I can only imagine what the bloods will be like coming out of these.....Should be a fun project for sure.

Thanks Jeff,
With all of the knockout boas you have slithering around over there, what ever would you want with this pretty little "normal" import Colombian female?
Surely, you have enough normal females over there, don't ya?? lol

She is what you think she is you know...

Now just wait for those who will claim she has BCC blood in her when she makes what she is going to make.

Have you come up with a name yet?

spill the beans, what is she? she is not "normal" at all. she is outstanding and i agree jeff i would love to have her here in my collection as well.

robertmcphee Jul 12, 2010 04:38 PM

To me she is a unique import Colombian. She has a look about her that resembles a certain morph that you have produced and might I add one of the hottest looking morphs out there......
She is a "Pure" Colombian.......
She has connected saddles and a knockout partial laddertail.....
Shes loaded with COLOR......

and.....
Any babies she produces won't be pure Colombian unless I find and/or import another "pure" Colombian, so the babies will at best be pure BCI......if I choose to go that route.......

So, if you put that all together what do you get??
A great big Question mark full of suspense!!

Now, what do I breed her with to guarantee that the babies will be pure BCI??
Id probably have to breed her to another BCI that I produced from "pure" BCI imports........(that way there is no doubt that they are indeed pure BCI)
This is a very interesting dilemma to be in....Good thing I have some time to figure it all out! LOL

Maybe Ill breed a Central American to her, at least then I will know that they are 100% Pure BCI.....

Just messing around with the possibilities. It will be nice to see what she produces though.....Im not sold on the fact that she is a replica of a known morph just yet though, Im not that lucky!! LOL
Then again I did produce a "Pure" Nicaraguan Blood with 2 farmed Nicaraguan normals.........LOL.

No matter what you do, or what you say, or how well you can document it, there will be those for whom you have not met their special standard for "purity". This without regard for the integrity you have tried to establish, over no matter how long a period of time. All that goes out the window because first and foremost, you must know this truth; Nobody on the planet has "pure" Colombians. That just is not possible. In fact, the only animals that anyone can have that are pure are strictly BCC stock. IN addition, remember this; the bar for proving purity is set extremely low for BCC. Not so with Colombians.

Very very few people actually believe what I just wrote. Most know that having good anecdotal information about bloodlines is almost never absolutely perfect, but can be as reliable as the person who gives it.

There are some of what I call "pure" Colombians out there. I have many of them. Many that I have kept that way deliberately. By pure I mean of Colombian decent and in particular without any Panamanian Hypo blood in them. That's what I personally mean by "Pure Colombian". Those animals are out there if you seek them. Motleys. Albinos. Anerythristics, still others and Hypos.

I think your female is fantastic and I think she will make, in the single dose form, something between an Aztec and a Key West. All bets are off on... dare I say it... regarding what the "Super" form will look like if there is one. I predict it will be dominant at least. That much I know.

Call me anytime during the day if you want to talk about it.

Thanks Jeff,
You touched on a lot there! I might have to chat with you sometime about your thoughts.
I have a lot more to say on this, but I'll keep it short as I'm at a concert and Jackyll is about to come on lol.
I have experienced a lot of what you are talking about in different ways through my short boa "career".
One thing that I know is this:
If I pick projects and go on my own "hunches" and hold myself to my own standards then this "hobby" will live on for me infinitely. I can go on but I'll save it for later lol.
And as far as this particular female, well, only time will tell! But I'm with you, I believe she is something "Special"!
