...or maybe not.

Today I got my first 2010 babies

It was a six egg clutch but three of them wasn´t alive babies =(
But the babies that was alive didn´t dissappointed me:

I got 1.1 of these.....I dont know what to call them.

The parents is a normal looking Mojave & a normal "nongenetic" stripe.

Please let me know what you think about the wonderful babies

Awesome looking snakes. I haven't seen any like them. Looks like that "nongenetic" Stripe turned out to be genetic. Post some post shed pics when you can.

Hello and thanks all.

I´m pretty happy with them
Now I only need to try breeding the mother with another male this coming season.
It could be the Mojave that unlocks this special gene ?
Just like in the Mystic ?!?

If it´s not then I got something very special =)

Anyway, I will post pix after they´ve shed.

Forgot to mention about the three dead snakes...
One was a "normal" odd looking baby,
one complete normal Mojave & one striped Mojave.

The stripes must be a combo and not just a "striped mojave"

Those are definitely cool. Congrats. So all together you would have had three striped mojaves, two mojaves and a normal. If all of them would have survived then not only would you have hit the lottery on a new morph, but you would have hit the double lottery if all them would have survived because you would have beat the statistical odds on how many mojave stripes you should have hatched out. They are definitely awesome snakes and hope to see more of them in the next couple of seasons. Congrats.

I had the exact same thing happen with my mojave clutches last year. i bred a very nice mojave male{he is striped but there are a few breaks in it} to two females. one was striped and one was not striped. all the mojaves from the striped mom came out fully striped and the mojaves from the non striped mom came out only partially striped. i posted pics a while back and the general concensus was that it wasnt genetic. i kept a striped mojave and a friend of mine bought the other striped ones. i am going to breed them soon to see if anything genetic with the stripe happens. good luck with yours but i dont think it is a genetic stripe mojave. i will have to dig up the pics so i can post them again.
