You are looking at this all wrong. They dont decide when to get there growth on, you provide them with what they need to get there growth, health, etc.. You need the proper husbandry, encloser, humidity (with out misting), food, temps, basking, hides just to start. Do some research, post some pics of your setups.
Good Luck, Robert

the reason why i asked is because of a post a couple threads down about growth spirts. and the reason why i asked about the misting is if they like that sort of thing and if it would be good to add that extra moisture... the top is almost all closed in except where the lights are.

i don't have a digital camera nor any way to get pictures on here so i'm going to try and explain the set up.....

the setup has many long pieces of thick bark and since i put him in ( last weekend) he already dung out many 'tunnels' (in his new deeper mulch) and i have that same bark attached to cardboard behind the back of the glass to make it look like a tree trunk... it seems like he keeps trying to climb it so i'm thinking of puting it in with him. there is a water bowel that is just temporay for now until i can find/make a larger water area. there is a good sized hollowed out log as well to hind out in and that seems to be the most popular hinding/sleeping spot.

tell me what you think and any suggestions will be appreiciated
