THE PYTHON HUNTERS

I've just finished watching the show with Shawn, Mike, and Greg on NatGeo and it is by far the BEST I have seen showing the Herp Community in a positive fashion. The show wasn't perfect and none ever will be but all in all they did a GREAT job and I'm very pleased. It's late and I have an early a.m. tomorrow so I don't have time for more comments but CONGRATS on a job well done....

I wasn't able to watch it since I don't have the NatGeo Wild channel.

I think the show was fantastic! It is remarkable that they allowed so much of what we know to be true in the show that did not end up on the cutting room floor. We know that TV is all about ratings, for there to be as few over the top assertions made by the narrator on the program, I think is remarkable. Shawn, Greg and Mike ARE the experts on the show. They are the only "experts" on the show so far giving any testimony that counts. It's like a trial. Lawyers will say anything they want to, but the jury must come to it's conclusions based upon the testimony of witnesses and experts who testify. The insinuations repeated by the narrator are not backed up in any way by anyone. I think that makes them irrelevant. In this case the vast majority of the program is testimony from the experts.

Thank you Shawn, Greg and Mike for sacrificing the time that you did to do this series. If you guys are available in Daytona, I owe you guys dinner anywhere you want to go! I can't wait to see more next week as I know it's going to get better and better!

Only one suggestion, I know bare handed grabbing of the Burms is probably a must for TV, but for goodness sakes, put on a thick leather glove when you do that would ya!? LOL

I missed last weeks episode, but have my recorder is set for this monday on that channel. The previews looked interesting, as does the 1/2 hr Snake Wrangler show.
