Is my mali really a mali?

uropat Sep 23, 2003 10:46 PM

I have heard from a few people that my big uro looks like a egyptian, rather than a mali. I did get him from a wholesaler,(LLL) so there is a possibility. does anione else think that the larger one (bruno) looks like a egyptian? You can see him on top in my signature.

Hello,

I think that he is a Mali. He is definately not an Egyptian. You can tell by the size of the head in comparison to the body (Egyptians are much smaller), the colouration (would generally be much more grey in Egyptians), and the shape of the tail. (Egyptians have longer more slender tails). I have attached a picture of my juvenile Egyptian who is about 10" in length.
