Weird Behavior

JoshMolone Jul 13, 2010 01:22 PM

I have a big Ball Python who is very weird to me. First shes a snake that will stop eating quite often for long periods of time. She has eaten twice since her 3-4 month period of not eating. Yesterday I offerd her a rat, she just kept giving it "defensive strikes". Just biting then letting go immediately.
Never seen her do that before.

is she going into shed? I have a female that will strike defensively at anything in her tub during shed. Just a thought?

sometimes pregnant gals will do that.

Don't completely rule out her being gravid.... I am currently incubating a small clutch of eggs from a female who hasn't been bred in 2yrs.
