Strange looking stool sample

MightyBD Jul 13, 2010 02:36 PM

Today my 3 year old girl who had not uhm provided a sample in about a week and a half - two weeks left a big present for me today...
However it was very different then usual.

At first glance it appeared to be one big ball with a slightly jelloee look to it.
Upon inspection and removal, it looked to be a tube of this jelloee stuff filled with regular looking waste.

What is going on? She was at the vet about 4 months ago with a clean fecal.
I have given her a bath and syringe water(which I do weekly).

Could this be like what we would consider a colon detox/flush?

She didnt strain more then usual to push this out.

Her activity has not changed in the last few months since she got up from brumation.

Thanks

I've seen that many times in dragons that haven't gone in a while. I think it's normal and have never had any issues tied to it so i wouldn't worry.

BD your the best, thanks for the quick answer.
It really did look like one of those commercials for colon detox, I wonder if thats the type of thing that happens, build up a little, grabs hold of left overs... I dunno, glad its not the first youve heard of it.
Cheers

poop casing is what you have found

BDlvr Jul 13, 2010 05:24 PM

It's not casing it looks like a formed area of gelatin.

just a normal big poop... the slimy jelly stuff is just mucus produced by the walls of the colon to help things 'flow'.
