Zen subflavus

natsamjosh Jul 13, 2010 10:07 PM

Been busy lately, but had some time last night to get some subflavus pics. Bought some Feng Shui "Lucky Bamboo" for her to climb on, so I posed her on it.

She's a beautiful snake, and I love the contrast between her and the bamboo with the dark background. Great pictures.

>>Cute indeed. (Unless you're a pinkie.) How much does the little gal weigh now, Ed?

Thanks Cliff. I actually never weigh my snakes, so the best I can say is "not very much."

Great pics of a cute snake! I love the contrast of the dark background against the bright green of the bamboo. Reminds me of a pic I took of my old Veiled Chameleon on a bamboo when he was little. Don't have a pic handy to share though, so here is a random one of him.

Thanks Aubrey! That's a great picture of your old chameleon, what a character.

Thanks,

Really nice pics, Ed! Wish I had your skills

I have one of her sibs onto thawed baby quail. The subflavus *love* quail if you wanted to try and get yours off anoles. I have a ton of frozen baby quail and can bring you a few when I hand over the male if you like?

Hey Ryan,

Thanks, but believe me for every decent picture I take there are at least half a dozen crappy ones.

Thanks for the offer on the quail, sure I'd love to try them. I like giving my snakes a variety of foods, especially when they are young.

We're gonna be heading out to the Florida Keys very early tomorrow, I'll catch up with you when we get back. Well, that is unless we get eaten by a 20 foot "super hybrid" Burmese-rock python in the Everglades...

Thanks,
Ed

Ed - cool, have a great time in Fl, gonna be damn hot though I went to see TomC in January of this year and caught this dude. Crazy!

Drop me a line when you are back in town.
Ryan
