i find this weird

i was looking at all my snakes the other day, and you know you can feel the scales and stuff, but when i was looking at my spider, his scales are different, he has like skin, i mean they are scales but he just looks different and feels different from all my other snakes, is this normal or am i just loosing my mind???

Snakes don't have actual individual scales like fish. That's why they can shed their skin in one long shed. I think the texture could have to do with breeding, some have larger more defined "scales" and others are smaller and they appear smoother. I won't worry about it though.
