F2 CW VENEZUELANS updated pics.....

asnakesview Jul 15, 2010 11:23 AM

Here are the F2 CW Venezuelans produced on April 13th 2010 from one of our F1 pairs from Dennis Sargent. The parents of ours, which were the only pair, were brought into the country by a Venezuelan gentlemen who pulled them from the wild himself. They were pulled from the town of Apure near the city of Mantecal. We are waiting to see if they pull up the bright caramel colors that their parents and aunt and uncle have. Hope you like them.... F1 just ate her first meal on the 10th and it looks to be in the nick of time.

and now for the males

Here is dad....

and Mom in her glory....

Hope you all like them and they are progressing very well. All but F1 and M2 are entering their third shed cycles and have ate right around 10-12 times. They are feeding on live mouse fuzzies. Just about all of them are taking them off the tongs too. It looks like the mother of these will be having some nieces and nephews pretty soon. Her sister looks pretty good and is temping out in the high 80's consistently. Thanks for looking.

Well Matt's animals produced these beauties but our joint effort was what made it happen. We just like to remind people that because we work so hard together at this and have put all we got physically and emotionally into all we do. We have been fortunate enough to meet some very cordial people in this business that have helped us tremendously. Thanks a lot everyone.

Matt and Zach

These guys are pretty rare it seems. The only other person I've seen with them is Gus from Rio Bravo reptiles I believe.
Definitely some cool looking boas, though. I could use 1 or 2, or maybe just a few of these, if only I had the money.

Yeah these are the only PAIR in existence that we know of. John Riger has a female from the litter but no male. They are from Central Western Venezuela, outside of Apure. We have been the only ones to produce them since Dennis Sargent 2004. The parents were very Unique as well. I will have an ad on the Classifieds here soon.

Dear Matt and Zach,
First of all, congrats on this beautiful and unique litter! I hope your bloodline will be in hands of some responsible breeders in the future.
I'm sure you noticed, but I must emphasize that your CW Venezualan bloodline represents not just a different locality than some other Venezuelan boas in captivity, but they also have different traits. At first sight, they seem to be classic BCC, but at closer look you can notice several BCI traits... I truly believe that they are a pure intermediate locality form between Western Venezuelan BCI and Eastern/or South Venezuelan BCC. Therefore to maintain this bloodline pure, these boas should not be bred to other locality Venezuelans in my oponion.
I'm sure it will be a fun to work with your bloodline.

All the best,
Adam

Totally agreed Adam. These guys are from the town of Apure near the city of Mantecal. They truly are absolutely unreal in person and the adults are just sweet as pie. We agree too that these shoud not be bred to other Venezuelans other than the central western locales. We are for sure looking forward to taking these beautiul
