Hypo. syspila a hatching.

terryd Jul 15, 2010 11:24 AM

I've been very busy lately, but thought I'd share a few quick shots of a clutch of hypo syspila that pipped out a couple of days ago.
Oh, and I also had three good het hypo. eggs pip last week, and I got four syspila, one being a true hypo. Strange stuff going on there.

Beautiful babies!

Chickens do occasionally manage to hatch double-yolked eggs, although usually the embryos die before hatching. Does anyone have a feeling for how rare this is in snakes?

Incredible colors on those Dell and I have to say that looks like one fishy hole in the last photo. I'm a little old school so the first thing that came to my mind is I would love to drag a chartreuse rooster tail through there.

Oh man, looks like I am not telling you anything you don't know!! Wow, you still have the box and all. I wish I still had some of the old lures I used to use. Hula popper, jitterbugs, little george, ect. I did not know you were into those Doug. We shall have to talk about this in S. Md this fall!!

Joe.

Well thanks guys and gals, I'm glad to hear that a few people still like these hypo. syspila. They have proven to be very fun to work with.

I have to say I would never defile that beautiful river and it sweet fishing by running a lure through that dreamy run. And a lure called a Jitterbug, or God forbid a Hula popper will complete ruin the river forever. Tony was the only one that knew how to fish it right. Match the hatch baby, match the hatch.
Of course I'm only teasing you lure guys don't go getting into a fight over this.

Here's one of the trout that came out of the run. Peace out. -Dell

great looking little snots and unusual to get a double yolk.
Rods, reels, flies and lures - bah. Cast nets are a gas and you might as well skip the license part too.
Well done Dell!
