Sometimes I'm holding my cal king, and sometimes she randomly decides to bite me. No mice nearby and I'm sure I haven't given her a reason to bite me. Does this happen to anybody else?

You may have some other smell on your hands from something else besides mice. Maybe another pet or tuna sandwich who knows, lol. I have had it happen from time to time but usually some thing on my hands triggers it. It may just be hungry? Just trying to guess at what the problem might be, but maybe step up his feeding regimen.

The reason is.....probably BECAUSE there are "no mice nearby"!
It is still hungry, and your fingers are the perfect meal size..LOL!

Yeah, I have a young Cal king about that size that does the same thing. It doesn't even matter if you wash your hands. My snake has a tremendous feeding response to everything and I think thats why he does it. I feed him often enough and he still does it. Not all act that way.

Thanks for the responses, now that I think of it she probably was hungry, lol.
