....but I really like the outcome from a pairing of my snow female X a 2x het/snow male....
I don't think there's a normal (1 left to hatch) in the clutch of 10.

Congrats!!
There is nothing cooler than seeing a bunch of different colored heads sticking out of the eggs! Except maybe seeing them after they fully emerge!

Rainer, I went back to my old Kodak for these. And I didn't take any time at all believe me. They're not that great of shots to me, I was just trying to get a few quickies in.
Anyhow, it is a 6490.
BTW the male I use for this pairing is one from you (normal 2x het/snow) and I always get better than expected ratios of morphs : normals with him. I like that better than using a snow male since I like seeing different colors in the same clutch.

is it this camera?

Doesn't look old to me. looks rather complicated. i am used to the small compact cameras you can slip into your shirt pocket. Maybe that is why i am not happy with my pics. Do you suggest getting this camera? if so, older cameras asre a much better buy on ebay and places.

you can do much better I'm sure with a newer camera with much better resolution. That one has only 4mp and just about any new pocket sized one has 10 these days. I originally got this one because my son and I wanted to be able to use the same batteries (he had another similar Kodak) and that's one of the things I liked about them. The batteries held their charge for a very long time.

I can't do better with a new camera. Last year i went through and tested over 15 of different brands of camra with macro settings. Including some high end ones. I almost became a passion of mine where i would walk into a atsore and left with a new camera. I just kept returning them because none compared to the older cameras macro 'COLORS". I COULDN'T FIND A SINGLE ONE. So know i only buy old used cameras with low megapixels in hopes they have a better macro than th new ones. I guess with the increase in th megapixels manufacturers cut short on the macro lense capability. But most people don't notice it if you are taking pictures of an occasional flower or pictures of small things for ebay. but we 9us herpetoculturists)are in a special group that takes macro setting of small colrful morphs and we can see the difference.
I only need a camera for taking (a) macro and (b)for the internet. Internet does not need more than 2.1 megapixil.Any higher and you won't be able to tell. the computer screen does not register any higher than that. So anything over 2.1 megapixel is a waste unless you are going to make huge prints of your pictures.
Camera companies got the public carried away with the "megapixel" hype. & MP, 8MP, 10MP and everytime people think this is a better camera when in truth all they use it for is the interenet. It is all hype and mrketing.
Which brings me back to the OLD cameras with the low megapixels. Those cameras had much better Macro lenses than today. I can look at all my old pictures which were taken by my old boxy Olypmus D-510 and they are 100% better than any new camara with 12 megapixel. The thing is this, camera companies know that folks don't compare like we do on colors. All the genral public wants is to get real close. And that the picture is sharp. But the colors are washed out on all the new cameras with this high megapixels. I tried it over and over again and just bought camras and returned each one after another.
That is why i asked about your old crappy boxy camera. They just don't make them (or pay attention to detail) like they used to.
