I thought I'd take a minute to introduce most of my gang. this is Chili in the foreground, and spice (his lovely lady) hiding out in the back. She's a bit gravid, and shy about her weight gain.

Azul, the male and Sammie the female. This is a male I got last year, that I thought resembled Eve's Zuni. Very nice blue, but not much yellow. I know he comes from a respectable place, so he has great potential to pass on some good genes.

Shis is also an aquaflame. About 2 years old I think.

Nova is not looking real blue, but has put on some respectable weight this year. He bred early, then gave it up I think. Both females have laid one fertile clutch of eggs, then the rest have been crap.

the pics really do them no justice at all.

I have one more male aquaflame, one more female, and one more female bluestar that were not pictures. I hope you enjoyed the show.

How many babies are you expecting & when?

Hopefully within the next week or two, but I've been saying that for a long time LOL. I never recorded any laying dates this year at all, and simply have no recollection of when the eggs were laid. I think I may have about 10 decent aquaflame eggs.

Sienna was having trouble laying her eggs over the weekend. I took one picture of her, and she had one of those "labor pain" looks on her face, so I deleted it.

She did manage to get out about 4 soft gooey eggs. All were crap. She appears to have passed them all. I gave her a warm soak in the bathroom sink with the heater on...that didn't help, so I trapped her beneat a flower pot base, above some damp sand over a under-the-tank heater. I checked on her the next day, and she had passed a couple...one was hard, and the other was like globby.???

That is funny, I would almost think it was hin sitting there, except my zuni is older and larger. :0) Very nice ! I like Sammy too ! Eve

I may breed him to Sammy next year. They are from within the same hillside.

so do you keep anything else or is it just collards?

from time-to-time go to the store for mustard greens, kale, lettuce, and other vegetables like collard greens. Just messing with you! I can't believe Eve's spelling patrol hasn't cornered you yet

I have kept sorts of geckos, veiled chameleons, and skinks when I was a bit younger. Never any monitors, although I've always wanted to give them a try. Now I have a couple youngins' at home, I don't foresee any large monitors. Not at least until my kids are old enough to side with me, and beg mom for one
