spider mojave lays eggs!

magicalmorphs Jul 18, 2010 02:36 PM

Well I have a long 54 days ahead of me. I have an 08 spider mojave that hatched out as a tiny runt (19 grams). I produced 2 in of them and traded the larger one for a lemon blast female. Thanks again Jeff Luman. The little girl like most runts atarted eating everything in sight and made it up to 1200 grams this past breeding season. I didn't expect her to take because of her size, but I went ahead and placed her with a bumblebee to see what happened. They stayed locked up off and on for the next month or so before I seperated them for good around Jan. She finally ovulated on June 4th. I couldn't believe it she was my last snake to ovulate. Her mother was a spider that went at 18 months and laid 8 fertile eggs, but I still didn't have my hopes up too high until last Saturday when she gave me 5 perfect eggs. The pictures are of her on her eggs and the bumblebee that bred her. Keep your fingers crossed for me getting a pastave bee!! Thanks Chris Hall
