A couple het pics and a request!

Andy__G Jul 18, 2010 03:22 PM

Here's a couple more quick shots of the hold back het albino boys.

I also am in need of some opinions on how to price these guys. To my knowledge, I am the only person in Canada so far who will actually be concentrating on selective breeding of various hognose morphs to improve colour, and nobody else has red het albinos here available. All of the albinos and hets I have seen aside from the albino female that I am starting this line with (pictured below), advertised online as well as at expos, are pretty run of the mill and have average colour. As much as I want to follow the U.S. market for my prices, this is not completely realistic because at this time here in Canada there is a much smaller market and demand when compared to the U.S. and Europe, although I feel this will change in the coming years. I do not want to crash a market before it exists and have not advertised any offspring for sale as of yet, but I have a couple of people on the waiting list who I have sent rough prices to and I will honour the prices I mentioned to those individuals even though I feel they are lower than they should be. I would very much appreciate some thoughts on this, either posted or emailed to me. My email is stoneserpentarium@hotmail.com if that is what you would prefer to reply with.

I just wanted to mention that the two het albino males in the previous post are not going to be for sale and are my holdbacks. All but one of the 7 babies are what I would consider to be "red" line animals, and trust me when I say I am picky when it comes to labelling things.
