Took picts today

Sonya Jul 18, 2010 07:52 PM

So I got a new pict of each ratsnake....thanks to my daughter, liberal rubbing alcohol and snakes in surprisingly good moods. Got bit by the usually calm ones of course.
Both greenish girls and the top one of true scale rust color showing.

Hypo girl that is the same age as the boy. Oh, and lesson learned. Do all the boys, then all the girls....alternating them get the boys all riled up!

Are you sure that's a hypo everglades? I don't see the longitude strips that is normal with everglades. It looks like it could be a mix of something else. It also looks albino as well. Real pretty snake regardless.

I only know what she was sold as and that she came through Dwight Good...So I gotta say she is. She and the male both have that reverse saddle pattern. His is more obvious and has been there longer, hers is just starting. Until this spring she had more of the striping and truer oranges.

The regular everglades is lighter orange and almost hypo someone once said. He is about to shed right now so is dingy and dark. This is him at 4 yrs old.

My hypo males all show more pattern - like yours, than the females and it does get more pronounced with age.

Dwight has always been a stickler for purity, and if an animal comes from him then it is what he says it is. - as far as I'm concerned at least.

Great looking animals, Sonya.

thanks! I like him. Here are a couple picts from a few years ago. He has grown and what I like is his head is still big and looks like he has more growth in him.

Those are all beautiful animals but do you a close up of the normal yellow's face? He looks alot like one I had back in the early 90's that had bright yellow eyes! Jeff

I don't have a close up but will see about getting one. I never noticed her eyes. I always thought she was pretty typical a yellow. She is nice. She I did have a clutch of a dozen probably three years ago. Now I want to breed her to Torque...my albino.

Thanks. The normal everglades had a bit of a weight problem for a while. I used him as a garbage can a little too often. The others I have tried not to let get fat. I don't like fat animals. He doesn't like being on jenny craig....but he is very civil. I like ratsnakes for that size and substance.
