Tub ventilation

PhunkeyPhish Jul 19, 2010 05:46 AM

I'm setting up a cheap version of a rack system and was curious about proper ventilation on the tubs. I'm using 41qt tubs, about 35x17x6. No snake in the first one yet, but have 9 holes on the lid and then a single row of holes along the mid 2/3 of the front side. Is that enough?

Sounds like more then enough.. I dont use any holes in my tubs there is a enough of a gap between the top of the tub and the shelf of the rack to where I dont need too. Also too many holes and especially if your rack is inside your A/C'd house will prevent humidity in the tub and could possibly make it so the tubs temps inside do not get warm enough.

My "rack system" has the lids on the tubs, rather than relying on a gap. So, the holes were needed. Thans for the help, I'll plan on seeing how my temps are before I go about making additional holes (or plugging some up).
