PARAZAP for Parasites

atldragons Jul 19, 2010 09:00 AM

I just purchased Parazap from www.Parazap.com
It was recommended by several breeders as a preventative & cure for parasites if used directly. I was wondering if anyone else has used this product before and if it does justice? Thanks

Here's a thread about the same question.

In a nut shell...

Parazap, is intended to be used as a preventive measure against parasites.

Do not use this product as a replacement for a good ol' vet and fecal exam.

Wasn't it Josh who said they used ground wallnut shell (or something similar) in the formula?

parazap is like a tea...it can help prevent flare up of parasites and promote a healthy gut flora, so its great to use after dewormers and antibiotic treatments. It is not a treatment for parasites if they are already present in significant numbers to be an issue.

Its been some time since I read up on this product, but from what i remember its made into a tea which is given daily to a dragon for several days, and can be repeated once a month or every other month...the directions are on the product so best to follow them carefully.

I believe it was mentioned this product is made from powdered walnut shells and wormwood...again I think the website describes this as well. Both of theses elements are not harmful, if not taken in quantity or too strong concentrations. Just because its 'herbal' doesn't mean its not dangerous if too much is taken. This goes for any herbal product made for humans. Care must be taken when taking herbal remedies just as you would for standard pharmaceuticals. Most modern medicines are based on naturally occuring herb remedies anyway..just refined and made more pure, and/or artificially created using other means.
