Well it looks like they are all...................

going to hatch and today should be the last day!

Not bad for a first time mommy

17 eggs total, 13 out and about already and the last four are all about half way out

This is my first try with raising a crix free clutch and I already have some of the babies eating veggies and pellets out of my hand and also out of the dish .... All it takes is for one or two of them to start eating and the others quickly catch on.

I want to Thank JoelR for his input and advice on crix free babies that he gave me before they hatched.

OH... and I am thrilled....... they all seem to have aquired the full body yellow color of their father

Ok, I think thats enough smilies for one post lol

Awsome!!
It's really nice to have crix-free babies. That was one reason I hadn't gotten any in a while, tired of crix. Joel is the man!!
Though the beardies aren't initially as big as crix-fed, I understand they catch up in growth eventually.
Ozzy is doing great but will ONLY eat red pellets..lol (spioled already).

I got a female "saucy" she will only eat the green pellets: we need to make a pellet trade, lol, lots of uneaten red and tan pellets. scott

I found the same thing happened when I had birds..... each has their prefrence on which color they will eat. They taste exactly the same, but some dragons (and birds) will only eat one color and you waste the rest.

I asked this question years ago and still don't know the answer.... why don't the makers of these pellets (Both bird and dragon) make and sell them in individual colors? LOL

the waste means more money for them my birds are big on color preference and it changes weekly, my dragons have color preference but once they make up their minds they dont change

Sorry i know this is off the topic but i was wondering what kind of plant that was in the picture??? Where could i get one?

It's plastic. I think I got it at Michaels Craft Store (chain)It has a wire middle so is bendable. I hot glued it to a fake rock that has a hole in it so I could wind it through. Every baby I've ever had loves it.
