Whew, you had me worried there.
I am a little surprised at how much I am enjoying my MBK. They are appealing little snakes. Good luck with the rest of your hatch!

King Snakes! Who can make a better mouse trap?

Most baby MBK's that I've seen have a faint amount of white when they're babies. It fades to black quickly though. Both parents are jet black with white spot under their chin. I've had both since they where babies and they both had a little bit of white which faded quickly. Did you like the anerythristic one at the top?LOL!
MBKs are probably very underated IMO with the general snake audience. I quess due to lack of diversity in pattern and coloration LOL!! (serious though). Great size and build, nice attitudes, and if you are looking for a sleek black snake, they are tops in that field as well!!! I have a pair of 09s I am patiently waiting on to do their thing year after next!!!

I take back everything nice I ever said about mine. He just bit me about 2 minutes ago. Of course, he had just taken a header off his shelf, after I forgot to put the lid back on his box quickly enough....and of course, I hardly even felt the bite....but still, it's the principle of the thing.....

I liked mine a lot. really neat snake, and calm as a laid back dog. There's lots of species out there that can wear the label "underappreciated" and yeah these are oneo f 'em
