i am new to this fourm, heck i am new to herps in general. being a herp owner for all of 3 weeks.

in 3 weeks i managed to purchase a veilded chameleon, a ambanja panther chameleon, and 2 crested geckos.

i was just wondering what other kinda animals do you all have?

Wow...you've got your hands full!
What made you get so many herps in such a short time?

I have one male veiled Chameleon, 2 years old...Zoe.
I have one Monkey tailed Skink...age unknown, but likely close to 4 years old, and likely female...named Dill.

Two cats, Charlotte, and Becky.
One 2 yr old Shih-tzu...Maggie.

Here's a link to some pics of my critters....

I try to space out getting my chams because they are so labor intensive to take care of properly. I like to make sure that I can handle it before I get another.
Of course what do I know, I have 28 eggs that are starting to hatch (veileds). I hope in the last seven months I have prepared enough for what lies ahead.
Good luck with yours wish me luck with mine!

Chameleons can be addicting, just make sure you look in to what you buy, before you buy it and read as much as you can. As long as you have the time, money, and space you will find your self looking for more!LOL Just don't over whelm your self, they are very demanding animals. Its better to have one happy chameleon then 3 that are just okay! I have pictures of all my chameleons on my site, just click the banner below to take a look, 6 panthers now and plans for more!LOL New photos are added all the time!

i am sticking with 2 chameleons max at one time, they are kinda demanding, i am about to invest in a automatic misting system for them.
as for me aquiring so many herps in so little time. just recent got a really good job that pays me good money, being 17 i have no bills.
i have always been into any kinda animal since i was little, my parents just never let me keep them, one day i showed up with 2 geckos and my mom thought they were cute.
4 days later i had a chameleon cage arrive, and the chameleon came in the mail the following day, she also thinks this is cute
then i bought the panther and a 2nd cage
both cages are 4x2x2 so they will have lots of room.
my parents are cool with it as long i take car of them, and keep there cages clean, which i do.
they are just so cool to watch.
the crested geckos are very agressive feeders, and my chameleons love eating crickets and its so much fun to watch them nail a cricket from liek 5 or 6 inches away with there tounge.

i did read up about all my purchases befor buying them. i am still reading and learning all i can. i would eventually like to breed my crested geckos once they are able to be sexed. the local breeder i bought them from temp sexed them for females but he said one will probibly be a male. i dont want to breed chameleons due to the fact that they can have so many offspring per clutch, i dont think my parents will really go for that one
