Can a snake fly coach?

bandit_14526 Jul 22, 2010 02:58 PM

Hey, I am just wondering, I will be in Daytona coincidently for the next Reptile show in August. Here's the problem, I am flying down there and back from New York. What if I happen to see a 2010 Boa there I would like to purchase. Has anybody ever ran into that, where you are flying back home and see a snake you would like to purchase while away?

Do they allow you to bring a small boa in some kind of secure carry on container or bag? What would you reccomend?

Of course I didn't want to start right out by calling the airlines and asking that question because they would probably think I am some kind of prank caller after that movie, "Snakes on a plane". But I may have to.

It would be pretty cool if the airlines let you take them on as carry on but that's not likely going to happen. If you pick up a boa in Daytona you'll have to arrange to have it shipped.
