New Rack. What do you guys think?

Jason Nelson Jul 22, 2010 11:37 PM

I had all the materials laying around. I just had to buy screws and glue. Pretty light weight. What do you guys think?

.Nice ...real nice....

the only trouble I can think of right off the bat.....you better not get any snakes with vertigo.....put them on the top shelf and they will freak out...screaming all night.......

....really...the only thought is too open and too visible....nice for you....real nice.....use snakes that don't mind that....

good luck....

I agree, the snakes may not be as comfortable. Substrate or paper towels may make it less visual. Its more for my eyes then the snakes.

Thanks Jason

VERY cool idea, Jason. Is that plexi between the boxes?? What kind of metal angle did you use? I am pretty well set-up right now for racks, but in the future...

Thanks. It is Plexiglas. The metal angle is L molding used for acoustical ceilings. I glued and clamped them together.

Very cool! That T-bar for ceilings is pretty flimsy, but I can see where small spans would work out. Nice new take on a rack system!

I like this one. And if you do have any nervous animals, you can always add more paper to make their tub more private.

I wonder how sturdy/durable this one will be? It's hard to judge from just looking at it. And if that's plexi, will there be any problem with heat tapes/pads melting or discoloring it?

Yeah I think adding more paper or even substrate will help.

Thanks bro
