New Rack. Part 2

Jason Nelson Jul 22, 2010 11:40 PM

This rack was pretty cheap to build. 1 5/8 metal studs and track and peg board. The peg board allows air to flow through the shelves. I have heat tape on one side. It could use some paint to clean it up. 48qt tubes.

What do you guys think?

Target. I bought them long time ago, I not sure if they still have that size any more.

Jason,

You have some really great setups there. The only question/possible problem I see with the pegboard setup (if I were to use it in my snakeroom) is moisture from condensation and potentially odors building up between the two layers of pegboard. Thanks for the tour.

Agreed, pegboard is very porous, the metal stud idea is cool

use a couple coats of exterior paint. I agree humidity could cause some problems.

HI Joe

I live in Utah, its super dry here. I have to have tubs with water to keep moisture in the air.

I add metal studs for support and paint both sides of the peg board, even in side the shelve.
