svt-sinister Sep 24, 2003 10:14 AM

Well i have a female sandfire right now (just a baby) and i might get a snow male today/ I want to put them in the same cage. They are both the same age and size. What are your opinions on this? Thank You

Well, the standard when bringing a new reptile in is to quarantine them for 2-3 months and 3 clean fecals at least 2 weeks apart.....after that the male my be showing breeding signs and won't be able to be put with the female.....

Your best bet, even when buying 2 at once from the same breeder so no need to quarantine, is to have 2 set-ups as you never know if they will need to be seperated because of aggression or one's failure to thrive.
