White head pastel het ghost

tigerhou21 Jul 24, 2010 12:29 AM

Hi!
This is my female white head pastel het ghost I product last year. Father is a ghost, and mother is a pastel. She is not a super but her light yellow color make her looks like a super. She also have lots of white spots all over her body.
I know the result of the white spots is from the mother side, because the ghost male also pair with the other pastel female this year, and the babies does not have any white spots. Her mother did not laid eggs this year, so I will try it next year again see if I can have more like this.

The weird thing is, last year, her mother laid 5 eggs, three pastel het ghosts and 2 het ghost. All three pastel het ghost are white head and very light color. Two die in less than 24 hours, therefore I only have this female left. She is very hard to feed, but good thing is she start eating regularly two month ago, and start gaining weight.

Thanks for looking.

Eric

Could the pastel be from Amir's citrus line? They seem to throw white heads like this as I understand it.

Just do a quick Google and found out this page:

Is this the one you are mention about?

I got her mother on 2006 when she was a 2 weeks baby, but I forgot who I got her from.

Alice, I think your right on target with that. My friend Clark has made some really nice crosses from one of Amir's (Hidden Gene) Pastel Calico's (Which came from his Citrus Line of Pastels). It seems that they all have white heads and really intense blushing.
