Nightcrawlers hatching!

That's what these guys always make me think of, when they're new - before developing their colors. These are calico Chinese Beauty Snakes - all seven have hatched out healthy and rambunctious. This was the only group pic I got before I had a bunch leaping out of the egg tub!

Here is a pic of an '09 when it sarted really developing its colors.

Here is the mother of both clutches, with this year's clutch.

Congrats Toby. Those look like a handfull. That '09 is a beauty. My situla eggs are almost two months in now and still looking good. I can't wait.

Yeah, they are a handful - and they pretty much stay that way! LOL

Best of luck with those situla eggs - I'm looking forward to seeing those babies too!

Okay Brad. I'll get new pics ASAP! I actually kept three from that clutch - a pair of calicos and a female het. They all take full grown adult mice now, and are over three feet long. These are pretty difficult for me to photograph, as they are very fast and flighty, and seem to never really calm down. Outstanding colors on the '09 calicos IMHO...
