Hi all
Can anyone tell me if the male or female black ratsnake gets bigger?
And what is the documented record size?

Thanks a lot

Although males tend to be bigger, there is no significant size difference between adult male and female black rats. The record Black Rat Snake is 101 inches, though 7 footers and over are uncommon.

Males get bigger. If you see one over 6 feet, its most likely a male. From my experience, most adult females have averaged 3 to 4 & 1/2 feet. Adult males have averaged 3 & 1/2 to 6 feet.
