Hi
I gotta question for those using tiles in their tanks. First though, heres my situation. All of my geckos are on tiles, with paper towels put where they go to the bathroom. The thing is, i went to clean them out today and a few of them have picked a new place to poop, on the tile away from the paper towels. Has anyone else had this happen? Its happened all of a sudden too, they never did this before.
Abby poops in her toilet paper roll so she's fine.
Zoe used the paper towels to hide under and pooped elsewhere
Lily.......she's pooping EVERYWHERE on the cool side of the tank, one here, one there.
Bronx seems to like to sleep with it....i lifted up a hide to check on him (moved him to a new cage yesterday) and there it was with him.
Taking the tiles out and washing them every day seems to stress the crap out of a few of them, plus some of them are pooping on the warm side so taking out the tiles exposes the glass where the UTH is. I was thinking of covering all the tiles with paper towels but how can i get it to stay down so crickets and geckos don't hide under it? I have small rocks/pebbles but they can't be secured and pose a risk of toppling over.
Also, Dot and Abby always want more food. I no sooner watch them eat 10 plus mealworms and their back at their dishes looking for more, AND i feed them twice a day. All of the insects are dusted every feeding plus they have calcium in their tanks at all times. I know i should feed them until they stop eating but my concern is that with eating that much (20 or more) in one sitting that they might start vomiting. Would feeding them three times a day be better?
Thankyou
