Spider Combo Question

stryder13 Jul 27, 2010 03:40 PM

What is a Lesser/Pastel/Spider called? I have a male pastel and I am trying to decide what females to get. My tastes are leaning me toward a lesser and a spider and I was wondering what a lesser/pastel/spider would look like. I know I am not the first to think of this and I assume it already has a name. However, I can't find one and decided asking here is probably the fastest.

Thank you so much Pitoon... It has been driving me nuts. Found a great example of a Queen Bee @ Constrictors Unlimited and they say it is a Pastel/Lesser/Spider!

Correct me if im wrong but from my understand Pastel/Spider/Lesser would be a Lesser Bee.

A lesserbee is just a lesser/spider. A lesser/spider/pastel or a butter/spider/pastel is a queen bee. Pitoon was correct.

Than it should have a different name since a Bumble"Bee" has the pastel gene.

How can something be called a "Bee" if it does not carry the Pastel Gene? Is "Bee" referred to the spider gene?

"bee" refers to the spider gene. that's why so many spider combos have "bee" in the name. Spider/ghost is a honey bee, spider/enchi is a stinger bee, cinnamon/spider is a cinnabee, black pastel/spider is a black bee, etc. etc.

lesser/spider/pastel = queenbee

the general acceptance is when a spider gene is mixed into something else is to add on the "bee".....there are some exceptions....like pinstripe/spider = spinner

yes, the naming convention is a bit silly/confusing/amusing....seems like everyone these days want's to name a combo that a three year old blabbers out.
