Strange... To me anyway

I have 6 RES of varying ages, two I bought years ago and the rest adopted from people who did not want them anymore. I love them dearly and they live in a large Indoor Pond with a nice basking area. Yesterday, I was asked if I wanted another turtle and I said sure why not as there is still plenty of room in my pond. To my surprise the turtle I received was about an inch long, Looks a little like a RES without red ears, Still has a little white egg tooth and has a tail longer than its body. I put him or her into a little container with a small island and water and it was really active. I put a couple of fish food pellets in and it ate them all.

Anyone know what species it is and maybe if there is anything else I should do? Seems really young to me.
Thanks

I just got a little one that I can't identify either. I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually but what I'm curious about is how the other turts react to it. I would love to put the new little guy in with the others in my pond but I'm afraid he'd get eaten. Please keep us posted as to how he's doing.

Can you post a picture?
Kingsnake has an "identify" forum
Turtletimes.com also has an "identify" forum
Turtlehomes.org (yahoo msg board) also lets you post about identifying turtles...I've always wanted an indoor pond...pleas post a pic

Recently someone here on this message board related a story of how their small turtle was eaten by a larger one...from my experience bigger turts may accidently bite smaller ones when they are eating...so I would wait until it gets more big to house with your other turtles
