Eastern hunt ...

OZZ1978 Jul 28, 2010 10:05 AM

Hey gang, its been awhile since Ive been around these boards and after a career shift and a move Im re-settled and looking for an eastern.

Anyone know any breeders that specifically breed for yellow banded (thin preferably, but yellow) animals?

I remember from my youth walking into a floridian pet shop and seeing a monster eastern, I dont know if it was the awe from being so young or what but to this day its been the single most impressive eastern Ive ever seen.

The background was super dark and shiny not dirty dark brown like most Ive seen lately, off set by the yellow pattern ... it was an amazing looking animal. I know most prefer thin white bands but that animal phenominal and had to be a good 5'.

Then again as mentioned, I was young so maybe the memory is glorified in my mind lol.

Anyway, can anyone point me in the right direction??

Scott Koonts at Uwharrie reptiles may be able to help you. Decent guy to deal with too.

You know I can't really say I've ever seen one with thin yellow bands? I've seen some with kinda dirty goldish brown, wide bands, but I prefer the clean white bands myself or the South Georgia wide bands which can be brownish yellow.
