Double Sire Question

JoshMolone Jul 28, 2010 05:07 PM

Im not 100% sure on this, so I thought Id clarify and ask the experts.
Lets say I have a Pastel Male, and a Spider Male. If I breed them both to a normal female what are the odds of getting pastel or getting spider? And is it possible to get a Bee?
Ive been told it is, and its not possible to produce a Bee like that, so im a little confused.
Im sorry this is a very dumb question, I just wanted to be sure.
Thanks your time.

to make a hatchling you need 1 gene from the mother and 1 gene from the father..........

a male spider and male pastel cannot breed together....both are male.....

the males however can give off each of their genes when breeding (hence double sired clutch) but each gene will be paired up with 1 female gene.

He said if you breed to a normal female...

it doesn't matter if you breed it to a normal....read what i wrote again.....it works for any type breeding.

if an asian male and a african american male have sex with a caucasion female.....the female is not going give birth to a african american/asian mixed baby....right? ...................it can only be asian/caucasion or african american/caucasion baby.

One seed for one egg...simple as that!

You can get either trait, but not both on the same snake. Each snake can only have one daddy, just ask Maury.

All are correct! Either Pastels or Spiders, no Bees!

Nah, not a dumb question. Genetics is not easy. I got into it and learned most of what I know from these forums and looking stuff up online...and I still don't know EVERYTHING.

not a dumb question at all....now if you have a male bee and breed it to a normal you can produce more bees.
