Since there has been some buzz on the subject lately I thought this would be fun. These animals were all labeled either suri or guyana when I got them. They are guyana shield bcc of either suri or guyana "locality type" and not to be confused with "locality specific" as this information has not been 100% verified. Can you tell which is which?

Difficult to say on this screen. Quick, send the animals in pic numbers 2 and 3 and the last 2 over my here so I can have a closer look.

Seriously though, I don't care if they are Guyanan or Suriname, they are mindblowing animals! If I where to go with the general perception of what people are led to believe. I would say that the tan ones are Suri and the dark ones (pics 4 and 6) are Guyanan. But how can you tell from a picture? The only way to prove it is if you know the bloodline or know where they where collected?

Unreal animals anyway.

First off, that is a stunning collection you got there.

I personally dont believe it matters, suri or guyana, and that they are the same, nothing more then an invisable line to call it one or the other. That being said, I have no problem with people crossing these 2 or calling them one or the other due to the fact i feel they're the same. Why don't we just call them all Suranas, lol.

With that being said for the fun lets see if i get any of these right
1) Suri
2) Suri
3) Guyana
4) Guyana
5) Suri
6) Guyana
7) Guyana (most people would call them suri but something about them makes me think otherwise)
8) Guyana

Was I right on any of them?

Wow! Awesome collections there! I'm not even going to begin to guess which is which... you know my opinions on the matter. However, if you ever want to part with the animals in picture #7 let me know!

Yep, if you ever want rid of those horrid animals in pics 2,3 and 6. I will reluctantly take them off your hands.

Number 7 are also terrible animals. Sell them to me to ease your eyes a little.

Guyanans are: nr4 and 6, rest of them are Suris. But as you well know, there is no way to tell it only by a pic. Looking forward your answer, though. They are great red tails.
Here's my question for you. What am I (be aware, I'm tricky)?

Adam ..... I don't know and could only guess. They have bcc traits but so does the one kitchie posted above which was 50% columbian. What are they?

#2, 4 and 7 are guyana and the rest are suri. xxdean057xx hit it right on the head. Thanks to everyone who tried where even experts wouldn't give it a shot. The whole point was that there is alot of variation in bcc and no difference between guyana and suri. The difference is preconceived. Congratulations to xxdean057xx

I don't think that it matters between Suriname and Guyanan to be honest. It's just a marketing scheme in my opinion. We are led to believe that the dark grey ones are Guyanan and the nicer tan light ones are Surinames. Your animals have proved otherwise, unless of course you are telling pork pies in order to prove someone else wrong! I jest! Anyways, good stuff and a welcome change (in my opinion) to all the morphs being posted here lately. I love a nice B.C.C or six.
