This guy is like PETA for snakes!

najacomplex Jul 29, 2010 03:23 PM

Hello everyone - I am new to this forum. I wanted to introduce myself and let everyone know about this site I came across the other day. It's like a snake site by PETA. Anyone heard/seen this before?

Here is the link.

This guy looks like a small time operator in Canada. I can agree with some of what he says, but not all. Noble and virtuous, but somewhat idealistic, I'm afraid.

I'm not a big fan of the self-righteous "I know what's best" Nature Nazi exclusionary mentality, which is the direction he seems to lean.

Placing all our conservation eggs in one basket is not such a good idea. The "Authorities" track record is not so good, and the cost to benefit ratio is exorbidant.

Placing all our trust is those very few "Authorities" hands' is just not prudent.

I'm for a bit more diversification and inclusion when it comes to conservation. The redundancy bodes better odds for success.
