San Jose Expo - PLEASE REPLY...SOMEONE!!

mbrawley Jul 29, 2010 04:07 PM

San Jose, CA Reptile Expo, July 31-Aug 01...Just wondering if anyone has experience at this show, and whether or not it's worth driving an hour to.
Also, I'm in desperate need of a few BIG bails of the Harlan (or similar) shredded aspen, and was hoping to get some at the show if there's any there, since I cannot find a freakin distributor anywhere in my area. Yeah, I know I can order some online but after shipping it's at about $50 for a single bail. I'll drive 2 hours if I need to and purchase multiple bails if there's no other way. I live in north central California (Modesto).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It's not as big as the Sac show, but it's a pretty nice show, last year was the biggest, and I expect nothing less this year. I go every year, I'm in Manteca, only 10 miles from Modesto. I order Kaytee Brand Aspen 8 Cubic feet bags x2 from Amazon.com for around $50. Cheapest I can find. It's also the best Aspen I've used.

I don't recall this show or the Sac show having big bags of aspen?

I'll be at the Calris table most of the day saturday, I most likely will not be there Sunday though.

All in all it's worth an hour drive. If you'd like email me ChadMLane@aol.com.

Cheers,
Chad

Hey thanks for the "heads up" Chad. Unfortunately, I got the shaft last weekend and got called in to work - so plans changed and I couldn't go anyway. Oh well...Anaheim and Sacto, here I come.

Thanks again bro, I'll hit u up next month.
